Account Information
We utilize a secure, passwordless authentication system. If you register or authenticate using Google Sign-In, we access your verified Google email address and public profile information provided through Google Authentication. We do not ask for, collect, or store traditional passwords.
Device Identifiers
Your Android ID (SSAID). This identifier is collected solely for security enforcement, fraud prevention, spam detection, and device-level abuse mitigation. It is never sold or used for third-party advertising.
Content Preferences
Space utilizes an algorithmic feed. Interacting with content (such as liking a post) anonymously records associated hashtags strictly to curate your personalized feed within the app.
We rely on third-party cloud infrastructure provided by Google LLC to host, authenticate, and manage data within Space. By using our service, you acknowledge that your information is processed through the following Google Firebase services:
Firebase Authentication
Handles secure user identity management, credential storage, and passwordless Google Sign-In authentication.
Cloud Firestore & Firebase Realtime Database
Cloud Firestore securely stores your account data, feed posts, comments, and application states. The Firebase Realtime Database is specifically utilized to route real-time chat messages between users. Both services employ industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Data Processing Terms.
Notifications
Used to deliver critical account updates, activity notices, and security alerts.
We implement industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your credentials and data.
Private Messages & Encryption PIN
Direct messages between users, processed via the Firebase Realtime Database, are protected by End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). To secure and access your cryptographic keys, you are required to create a personal 4-digit PIN. This PIN operates locally on your device exclusively to unlock your E2EE keys. Space, its administrators, and underlying third-party processors do not store this PIN and cannot read, access, or intercept your private chats.
Data Retention
As long as your Account remains active, we retain your profile data, posts, and related application data indefinitely to provide you with seamless service.
Account Deletion
You retain full control over your data. When you initiate an account deletion within Space, your account credentials, profile details, posts, and related metadata are permanently and immediately purged from Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Realtime Database. Once deleted, this action is irreversible, and your data cannot be retrieved under any circumstances.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose your available data (such as basic profile information and device identifiers) if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency). However, because your private messages are secured with a locally processed 4-digit PIN (Zero-Knowledge Architecture), we do not possess your encryption keys and cannot decrypt or provide the contents of your private communications to law enforcement or any third party under any circumstances.
Space is strictly restricted to individuals aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16. If we become aware that personal data of a user under 16 has been collected, the account and all associated data will be terminated immediately.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make modifications to this policy, we will notify you directly via an in-app push notification and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
